![]() Weirdly Another Wonderful Life added some nice difficulty, but a good portion of the controls feel clunkier. Muffy and Marlon are two of my favorite spouses in the series. my favorite design(not the girl though, she's a bit meh). I also like that there is very clearly a lot of depth in both animal care and crop hybridization, so it's a lot easier to choose one over the other if you decide to either be a livestock farmer or a harvester. I can manage to forage plants, mine for goods, take care of my animals and crops, and talk to the townsfolk a lot more easily than say, Friends of Mineral Town or the absolute nightmare that the first Story of Seasons could be at times. It's also a lot easier for me to set up a schedule and not feel anxious. I always felt way too pressured and like I never had enough time to do anything in the other games, so while AWL has less to do, it does fall more in line with how the director wanted Harvest Moon games to be. I kinda like how wheather fades in instead of it just raining all day(same energy as rainy Population: Growing! Days vs later Animal Crossing games). You do genuinely have to invest in the world to know what's going on on a day-by-day basis. I just love the atmosphere, setting, music, graphics, time system, and gameplay. I want to see best Mute Princess Keira againĪ Wonderful life is my favorite, hands down. The world needs to be bigger, physically and socially, with more things to do and explore. If AWL does get a remake though, it would need much more content, even if it inherits HMDS's features. In this case, if you have a FoMT save file on your Switch. Maybe make it do that thing if you have a copy of FoMT in your GBA slot, FoMT characters will visit the valley. ![]() These 3 sprites do not make an appearance in HMDS instead there's 100 sprites that need rescuing via "achievements". The harvest sprites do appear in AWL but they have literally no role in the game besides being literal lumps in a log and only appearing when a chicken is born. Maybe make the town bigger? Or maybe make the forest bigger and have something to do in there?ĪWL totally lacked the Harvest Goddess which was rectified in HMDS. Slow watering animations, pitiful crop profits, dumbed down mines, no resource gathering (I never thought I would miss chopping lumber or breaking stones), no form of farm customization, etc.Įssentially: Make it a 3D version of HM:DS which is AWL with FoMT gameplay. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life tries to give players a broader focus than just one point in time and lets them see more of a life story unfold before them, and hopefully with the spouse of their dreams by their side.I like AWL's world. The focus of the narrative quickly shifts after marriage to the experience of raising a child and building a stronger bond with the character's spouse. While most farming games offer romance and marriage as an option, in A Wonderful Life players are forced to choose a marriage partner, so the story can progress after year one. Even when it is raining, she will be seen outside happily enjoying the rainfall. Cecilia is the sweetest and kindest of characters in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life who has the greatest joy about everything she sees. She has a love of animals and plants and moved to Forgotten Valley to follow that passion, and now she helps out on Vesta's farm as a farmhand. She is always smiling and has an obvious crush on the player's character but will go out of her way to help set them up with someone else if they show an interest in one of the other singles. Cecilia is the quintessential girl next door with a positive attitude and love of life. ![]()
